Hello and Happy Holidays to all of you who still watch me even though I haven't uploaded anything in ages and I am sorry for that, but life sometimes takes priority over what we like, even if we agree with it or not. So as a new year dawns I hope that I can work a lot more towards my objectives.

As my first objective is to start a new fanfiction story linked to the video game Sword of the Stars. For those who do not know Sword of the Stars is a 4X (EXplore, EXpand, EXploit and EXterminate) Turn Based Strategy Management with Real Time Strategy Combat science-fiction video game (Similar to Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2). The game offers one of the richest Space Opera type of narrative storytelling, despite very little is present in the game itself.

If I can give a comparison, the lore behind the game in my opinion is on par with other space opera’s such as Stargate, Mass Effect, Babylon 5, Homeworld, Star Trek and so many others. While the races, at the surface, look like they fall in the usual tropes, they are a far cry from the cliched image in other media. Having access to supplemental information about them I have wanted to dip my feet in this universe and write my own story in it.

The two main reasons I want to do it are as follows:

First the universe itself has been stagnant for a few years since the disastrous launch of Sword of the Stars 2: Lords of Winter and even after numerous patches the game as slowly died off and it seems Kerberos Productions are not in a hurry to make a new game in that genre. They have since focused on a conversion of the Rogue-Like game Sword of the Stars: The Pit into a First-Person Shooter Role-Play-Game hybrid set in the same universe as the strategy games.

Second while there have been a few scattered attempts of fan-fictions set in this universe most have not seen an update in quite some and I am quite sad to see that, as this game deserves more credit than it was given.

So, I want to ask you my friends on the internet a small question in regards to this project, while have sculpted a good enough idea on how to proceed I have a few scenarios for the starting-line of the story I will write, so I will give you my ideas as to how to star and I would like you to give your input which one you would like or if you have any other ideas, I would like your input.

My main starting points are these:

A. After numerous conflicts and small skirmishes, the factions in this sector of the galaxy decide to band together and cooperate in order to halt the rising power of the Horde and their Masters. While animosity still exists, small steps are achieved to solidify an alliance, but disaster strikes as the assembly is attacked and all is put in jeopardy. Can a group of unlikely heroes at the wrong time and in the right place make a difference as forces far beyond comprehension are pitted against him?

B. As Horde slave raids and subsequent Winter Wars are becoming more frequent as the years have past the races of the sector have been pushed back farther and farther and the Masters’ power is growing with each planet they conquer and as the fight becomes more desperate as many factions adopt unconventional means of warfare, but amidst the chaos a secret mission is embarked upon to unify the scattered remains of the fallen empires and construct a mighty bulwark to push back the encroaching darkness.

C. The Horde is on the verge of victory. As many worlds fell under the sway of the Great Masters and refugees flee occupied space the Confederations begins plans for a full exodus into uncharted territories, great ships are built to ferry as many survivors across the vastness of space to find a refuge where they may lay low and rebuild what was lost. After years of searching a few habitable worlds are found and colonies are established, but the threat of the Horde is still present and eventually even this haven may turn into another hell, but now with reinvigorated strength and purpose the Exiles are returning to the lands that once sheltered them it was time to return home.

Hope you guys will help me in this endeavor and I hope you will like what I write. Also note that the story has planed a few crossovers with other games of the same time and also a number of open races from the Furry Community will feature in the story at some time. So, if you have Original Characters that you would like to have included in my story, I am ok with them being included as long as they are not to crazy even for this universe.

I await your replies and may the year 2021 bring more joy than what happened in 2020.
